Our story began back in 2022 in Kalamazoo. We were both at a volleyball game with mutual friends. Little did Emily know that she would first be referred to as Grant's girlfriend after the two collided into each other at volleyball and Emily broke her nose.

The two spent lots of time getting to know each other, hanging out with friends, and getting ice cream early on. Before they knew it, they were off on their first Disney trip together. Emily and Grant spend lots of time traveling together to places such as Buffalo, Chicago, Cape Coral, Indianapolis, and Orlando!

Very early on, Grant learned that Disney was one of Emily's favorite places and after two trips together, Grant couldn't think of a better spot for their engagement to take place! During their third trip, the two were in front of Cinderella's Castle getting photos taken and before Emily knew it, Grant was on one knee asking Emily to spend the rest of their lives together in December of 2023.
