What is the difference between on-site and off-site guests?
On-site guests are people who are staying at the venue. Off-site guests are people who are staying at the hotel in Oneonta, NY. This is determined by your invitation. Unfortunately, we could not accommodate everyone on-site due to space limitations.
What is the timeline of events?
Welcome hour before the ceremony is from 3:30pm-4:30pm and then the ceremony will begin at 4:30pm, cocktail hour to follow at 5:00pm, and reception begins at 6:00pm with dinner and dancing. Additional information will be provided for on-site guests.
Why on a Tuesday?
Bottom line, we fell in love with the venue and we chose to do everything we could to make our dream come true. So please join us in turning up on a Tuesday!
What type of venue will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place?
All parts of the wedding will be indoors. Gilbertsville Farmhouse is a beautiful farm; guests are welcome to tour the grounds.
What is the dress code?
Semi-formal attire is recommended. Ladies in dresses or jumpsuits and gentlemen in suits. Keep in mind, we are going to dance, so dancing shoes are required.
What time should I arrive at to the ceremony?
Guests should plan to arrive around 3:30pm to enjoy our welcome hour before the ceremony at4:30pm.
Can I bring my children?
We are sorry, but no. We love your children very much, but due to space limitations, no kids allowed. We also would like each and every one of you to enjoy your time at our wedding we so carefully planned. Only children in the wedding party are allowed to attend.
Can I bring a plus one?
If your formal invitation says you and a guest, then yes, please do! If they don’t say you and a guest, we are sorry, but space is limited.
Is transportation provided?
Yes! For off-site guests, a shuttle is provided from the hotel at 2:45pm to be dropped off at the venue. After the reception, the shuttle will pick up the off-site guests at 11:15pm and drop them back off at the hotel.
Is there parking available at the wedding venue?
Yes! There is plenty of parking at the venue.
Am I allowed to take photos during the ceremony?
We request guests refrain from taking any photos during the ceremony. We would like you all to enjoy the moment with us. After the ceremony, please take and post all of the photos you would like with the hashtag #turninguponatuesday
What if I have dietary restrictions and/or food allergies?
Guests can put any dietary restriction and/or allergies on your RSVPs or contact Emily.
How do I RSVP?
Please RSVP in the mail or on our wedding website before the RSVP date.
Will there be an after party?
Unfortunately no. After the reception, off-site guests will return to the hotel. On-site guests, additional information will be provided.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes of course! Drinks on us, hangover on you.
Will there be breakfast provided the day after the wedding?
We are sorry but no. Please refer to the Things To Do tab for local places to enjoy breakfast before heading home.
