Campers Guide

We are thrilled to invite you to extend the celebration by camping under the stars on our family’s farm after the reception! Nestled in a peaceful, rustic setting, the family property offers plenty of space for campers. Relax by a cozy bonfire, enjoy the fresh country air, and continue making memories with friends and loved ones. Whether you’re staying for the night or just popping by for some late-night s’mores, we’d love for you to join us. Please let us know if you plan to camp so we can ensure you have the perfect spot!

If you do not plan to camp, but require accommodations, please book as soon as you are able as it is the end of peak season in Lake Geneva. See Travel & Stay for some suggestions.

This isn't your typical wedding

By following these guidelines, we can ensure a magical and environmentally responsible weekend for everyone!

Here are some Leave-No-Trace Camping Guidelines for our guests, inspired by the principles of Burning Man:

Radical Inclusion

Everyone (18+) is welcome to camp on the farm, and we ask that you help create an inclusive, respectful, and joyful atmosphere for all.

Gifting

We really want this to be a participatory experience where you also get to let your gifts and talents shine. We highly encourage sharing snacks, stories, art, or helping hands. Campers are asked to contribute something to the event to make it special. It could be anything so don't feel limited or stressed by the notion. We want our guests to leave their mark just as much as we want to create a memorable experience for all of you.

Decommodification

This is a space to connect and celebrate without commercial distractions. Please avoid bringing disposable decorations or items that create unnecessary waste. We want to preserve and enjoy the natural beauty as much as possible and make this an earth-friendly event.

Radical Self-Reliance

Bring what you need to be comfortable, including your own tent, bedding, snacks, and supplies. There will be basic amenities, but we would love to create an environment of abundance and community. Check and prepare for the weather conditions.

Radical Self-Expression

Feel free to add your unique flair to your camping setup or attire! Just ensure your creativity doesn’t disturb the peace or the environment.

Communal Effort

Let’s work together to keep the space tidy and welcoming for everyone. Join in communal activities, share resources, and help others as needed.

Civic Responsibility

Please follow all farm guidelines and respect the land. Ensure fires are only lit in designated areas with proper supervision, and dispose of cigarette butts in ashtrays only.

Leave No Trace

Pack out everything you bring in. Dispose of trash and recycling properly, and leave your campsite as pristine as you found it—or better.

Participation

Get involved! Whether it’s helping with cleanup, sharing a laugh by the bonfire, or joining late-night stargazing, your presence and participation make this gathering special.

Immediacy

Savor the moment. Unplug, breathe in the fresh air, and fully immerse yourself in the celebration and beauty of the farm.
