Q + A

Will there be other transportation options?

Shuttles will begin running around 2pm from the Lake Geneva area. If you are staying at the Abbey, pickup will be at the front entrance at 3:15pm and 3:30pm. At the end of the evening, the final shuttle will depart the farm at 11:30pm. Be careful relying on Uber/Lyft: Although car services will likely be present early on and in Lake Geneva, cars may be unavailable from Harvard later in the night. If you require transportation to or from the Lake Geneva area, please reach out to Emily or Cherie Jones for additional details.

What time can I arrive?

Campers can begin to arrive around 3pm on 9/13 in order to set up. If you wish to setup your tent prior to the wedding day please contact Emily or Derek to make arrangements. Shuttles will begin arriving to the venue as early as 2:45pm. If you are planning to park across the street, a shuttle should be available at 3:45 to ferry guests up the long driveway - just in time for our ceremony at 4pm!

Where can I park?

Primarily, attendees will be directed to park across the street if they do not plan on camping. There will be a number of limited spots located near the main barns that will be for select guests and vendors that require closer proximity to the action. It is highly recommended that you wait for transportation to bring you across the street to the farm. The gravel driveway is long and bordered by prairie on both sides. If you are not comfortable with potentially stepping into the chest high grasses onto uneven ground to let vehicles pass do not attempt to walk it. A (15) person shuttle will be available at 3:45pm to ferry guests. If you arrive sooner, please feel free to contact Derek or one of our groomsmen for assistance.

What is the dress code?

Really anything goes here! We'd say as long as you are comfortable dancing the night away and wearing sensible shoes that can handle grass, mulch, and gravel you should be in great shape. Also, this is September in the Midwest so you really won't know the weather until moments before but dress for the elements as most of the events will be outside (weather be damned). Some would say the vibe is festival-chic, others elven fairy wonderland, few say bat country! We'll let you decide. Dress to impress!

Are kids allowed?

We love your little ones and are so happy to celebrate with them! To ensure everyone can relax and enjoy the evening, we kindly request that after 10 PM, the celebration becomes an adults-only affair. Thank you for your understanding!
