Emily and Zach met the old fashioned way - through a dating app. They matched several times before they actually went on their first date (5th time is the charm!). Emily had just started playing golf a few months prior to meeting Zach. Zach knew the only way he could impress Emily was on the golf course so he boldly asked her to play 9 holes on their first date. Emily was impressed and the rest is history!

Zach proposed to Emily on vacation in Mexico! Their favorite thing to do together is playing 18 holes so Zach booked a round of golf at El Camaleón Mayakoba. On the first day in Mexico, Zach and Emily met new friends who happened to be from Charlotte and booked the same tee time at Mayakoba (what are the chances!!!). Zach had to think quick on his feet because he decided to ditch the caddy's he had originally booked and play with their new friends who were now in on this surprise. Zach's original plan was to propose on hole 5 but they teed off the back 9 to start instead of the front 9. Zach panicked internally to find a new plan without Emily knowing. Emily and Zach got to hole 15 and were setting up for what Emily thought was just a photo. When Emily turned around Zach was down on one knee asking her to marry him. Emily of course said YES but not before she said "HOLY SHIT!".

Zach was relieved the proposal was over. He claims the stress is what caused him to be +2 through the first 5 holes. Emily and Zach celebrated afterwards with shots and the best hot dogs ever with their new friends Emily and Taylor!

We can't wait to celebrate our love with all of our friends and family in April of 2024 when we finally get to say "I do"!
