Coffee Shops:
1. Two Arrows: This is an awesome coffee shop/bar. The coffee is really great, but you can also get alcoholic coffee beverages, as well as other mixed drinks.
2. Yeti Grind: Classic mountain coffee shop with some unique flavors. They also have solid quick bites for breakfast and lunch.
Breakfast:
1. Austria Haus, if you choose to stay there, has breakfast included daily. We believe other resorts likely do as well (best to call and check on others though).
2. Big Bear Bistro: One of our favorite, more affordable, spots in Vail village. They have all of the breakfast classics. Think pancakes, breakfast burritos, omelets, etc...
Lunch/Dinner:
1. El Segundo ($): Very solid taco/mexican spot, that has great tacos and margaritas by the pitcher.
2. Mountain Standard ($$$): Right on the river in Vail village. This is one of the more popular restaurants in Vail, that focuses on local vegetable and meat plates. The warm pimento cheese dip app is a must.
3. Bol ($$): This is a great spot to watch a game at the bar, bowl, or have a bite to eat. Think all American fare with a large selection of rare bourbons.
4. Up the Creek ($$): The patio sits on the river in Vail, so a fantastic view with very good food.
5. Vendettas ($): Solid pizza place where you can get pizza by the slice.
6. All others: There are 20+ restaurants in the Vail village, many that we didn't list. There's a great steakhouse called Elways, as well as a fantastic sushi place called Matsuhisa. These are more expensive options, but both great.
Restaurants Outside of Vail Village:
1. Rocky Mountain Taco: This is one of our favorite restaurants both for the price and quality of food. It's ~10-minute drive from Vail village , and has great tacos and burgers.
2. Ti Amo: A great option for Italian food ~10-minutes from Vail village.
Breweries/Drinks:
1. Vail Brewing Co: This is a staple for Emily and Grant in Village. They serve all of their own craft beers in the heart of Vail village.
2. Root and Flower: They specialize in craft cocktails with a great ambiance. They also have great snacks for a lighter dinner.
3. 10th Mountain Whiskey: They make all of their own bourbon and put out some great craft cocktails. The vibe is awesome, and it also sits above the river in Vail.
If you like to party...
1. Red Lion: This restaurant/bar often has live music late into the night, and s a solid place to have a good time.
2. The George: Think Vail's version of a dive bar. This is where the locals go to drink and has some of the cheaper alcohol prices in the village.
3. Bad Kitty: Late night bar with a fun name.
4. Pepis: Often has live music, and solid drinks.
5. BridgeStreet Bar: If you really like to dance and party, this is for you.
