Are kids allowed at the ceremony or reception?
While Andy and Emily love each and every one of your children, they ask that the reception be an adult only event. However, children are very welcome to join us at the wedding ceremony.
What accommodations do you suggest for out-of-town guests?
The wedding party and families will be staying at The Chase Park Plaza on N Kingshighway Blvd. Another nearby option is the Holiday Inn Express St. Louis- Central West End, but there are many hotels in the area that are also a short Uber ride away.
Where can I park at the ceremony and reception?
There is a parking lot behind St. Cecilia Catholic Church. There is also close street parking in the area around the church.
At The Coronado, you can either choose to use the complementary valet, or you can self-park on the street out front on Lindell Blvd or in the Moolah Theater parking garage on Westminster Pl, behind The Coronado.
What should I do between the ceremony and reception?
The drive from the church to the reception will take about 20 minutes, assuming no traffic. The main lobby doors at The Coronado will open at 5:30 PM, and live music for the cocktail hour will begin then too. The bar will open at 6:00 PM. Feel free to arrive a bit early and relax in the lobby before cocktail hour begins. If you're eager to get the party started, go grab a quick drink at Humphrey’s Restaurant & Tavern, just a 0.2-mile walk from The Coronado through SLU’s campus on N Spring Ave.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! A full and open bar will be available for cocktail hour as well as the reception; however, The Coronado's liquor license prohibits them from serving liquor for more than 5 hours per event... SO during the dinner hour (7-8pm) beer and wine only will be served. If you would like to drink something other than that with dinner, we suggest ordering an extra drink at the bar before cocktail hour ends!
