In June 2022, Charles and Emily officially matched online and started talking. Their first date was to an escape room in Albany, Ga. After a few more dates and many calls; they made their relationship official on July 24, 2022. For a year and a half they traveled back and forth from Americus to Albany to visit each other. During that year they went through many transitions between jobs and had many adventures together. In January 2023, they took their first big trip to Blairsville, Ga where they enjoyed the mountains of Georgia. Also, Charles was hired an a GIS Technician for Lee County in March 2023. In the summer of 2023, they started apartment hunting to take that step to live together so in October they found their apartment and moved in on November 1st, 2023. In 2024 there were many fantastic things that occurred in their lives. Charles’s sister Madilyn became pregnant with their niece Eula. Charles and Emily adopted their wonderful cat Nimbus. Emily went through a major life event by graduating from Georgia Southwestern State University with her Bachelors degree in History. 2025 was an even bigger year for Emily and Charles, they reached 2 years of living together and a year of having Nimbus. Charles’s brother Nathan and his wife Aryanna gave birth to their son Stephen. Emily was able to be hired at her alma mater of GSW as an admissions counselor. Also, the most important thing is that they got engaged!!!! So, this has been a short story of the 3 almost 4 years of their relationship before they get married July 11, 2026.
