FAQ

If you have a question that isn't answered through our FAQ section, please feel free to reach out to Emily or Chris! This is our first time planning a wedding(And hopefully the last time) so we might have missed something.

Do I need to wear a mask? What are you doing about Covid-19?

We ask that you please wear your mask to and during the wedding. We will have Usher's at the front door checking temperatures, if you aren't feeling well, have symptoms of Covid-19 or have a known exposure, we ask that you attend virtually via the webcast.

If anyone within a party displays an elevated temperature/fever prior to entry, we will ask that you and your party please not attend.

Masks will be available at the front of the venue in the event you do not have one or if you lose/break yours during the wedding.

What should I wear?

Semi-formal to Cocktail Attire.

The ceremony and reception are in indoors. During cocktail hour, there is an outdoor space that can be utilized.

Above all else, wear something you'll be comfortable dancing in.

Parking

Please park in the parking-lot directly behind the 8th & Main Event Space. This parking lot is for the venue and is well lit at night. We ask that people not park on the street to allow vendors and others to access the building as needed.

Will there be a livestream since we can't attend?

We will post a live stream on the front page of the website the day of the wedding. Please check back on 4/25 to join us virtually.

Can I take home a centerpiece or some of the decorations?

Go for it! We're using succulents in hopes that people will take them home and keep growing them as a reminder of the day.

Our centerpieces will be built around a small succulent terrarium that can be taken from the venue. If you do take one, please send us a photo of where it ends up and how it's doing after a while. We scoured Aldi's all across south Kansas City to get enough for the wedding, and Emily's mom has graciously been growing them and keeping them alive for the past 8 months just for our special day.

And if you don't want to take a full-blown terrarium home with you, we will have small succulents as favors for you to take at the end of the night.
