Here are some things we think you should do while you're here in town!
Hop on the street car at any of the stops along Main St in downtown Kansas City. The 2.2 mile loop will take you from the famous Kansas City Union Station all the way to the Rivermarket neighborhood. Hop off any of the stops and you'll find something interesting to do. From North to South you can hop off and explore any of these incredible places.
Starting in the Rivermarket, there are plenty of places to grab breakfast and lunch in this area. If the market is open Saturday morning, it's worth walking through just to smell all of the fresh produce and spices being sold.
Some of our favorites around the Rivermarket include Il Lazarone Strange Days Brewery, or a walk through Berkley Riverfront Park.
The Crossroads Art District has a lot to see! Incredible art galleries, one of the best diners in town, and a lot of really nice bars.
Hop off the streetcar at the 19th Street stop and you'll find yourself not too far from The Rieger Hotel & Bar. This historic building was once a stop for famous gangster, Al Capone back during the time of prohibition(Not that KC ever believed in it!). If speakeasies are your thing, head around back to Manifesto. Call ahead though, this is a popular spot!
Head East on 18th Street until Oak Street and you'll find yourself in East Crossroads. With incredible tacos and beer-galore. Home to four breweries, some pretty good pizza, and some incredible tacos, this is a one stop spot.
This historic train station has a number of museums and fun activities for people of all ages. The WW1 Memorial is a short walk up the hill and gives a unrivaled view of the city.
Restored to it's former glory in the late 90's, this is a must see. Stop in and grab a coffee and enjoy this incredible piece of Kansas City's history.
One of our favorite places to eat. Many good times have been had here over the years. If the back-bar is open, make sure to head back and grab yourself a Negroni, one of the best in town!
Serving up some of the best BBQ KC has to offer, Joe's KC. Right in the heart of downtown at the KC Power & Light District.
