Eric & Emily met on a beautiful January day in 2022 thanks to some of our favorite people. Eric's best friend (and honorary brother) Dave & and Emily's sister Kate (& brother-in-law Alex) got together and schemed to have the two meet up. Finally after months of hearing about each other, the group met up at Pryes Brewing for a low-pressure get together.

It was that day that Eric found out he wasn't as good as everyone else when he learned about green bubbles (iykyk). After playing games, Dave continued to interview Eric & Emily and facilitate a get-to-know you conversation on Eric's behalf.

A month passed by and the group met up again, this time spending hours hanging out at some of our favorite places, and Emily beat Eric in shuffleboard (a winning streak at Indeed that Eric has yet to break)--while Dave kept pushing the two of us next to each other. The two exchanged numbers and the rest is history.

They say when you know you know. Emily has texts saved from a conversation with her best friend Jordan before our first official date happened where she told her that Eric was it. At the end of our first date, we sat in Eric's car talking about everything and anything for hours.

After two years of dating, a move to be in the same city, and Eric giving Emily countless rides to work, we went for a walk by the river at Sunset on the first warm day this March. While sitting & watching the Sunset at Nicollet Island Pavillion, Eric got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him--knowing that the two of us together can do anything.

We feel so fortunate to have the love and support of our friends and family joining us as we make a promise to God and each other. We can't wait to get married!
