Our Wedding

Eric &amp; Emily met on a beautiful January day in 2022 thanks to some of our favorite people. Eric's best friend (and honorary brother) Dave &amp; and Emily's sister Kate (&amp; brother-in-law Alex) got together and schemed to have the two meet up. Finally after months of hearing about each other, the group met up at Pryes Brewing for a low-pressure get together. It was that day that Eric found out he wasn't as good as everyone else when he learned about green bubbles (iykyk). After playing games, Dave continued to interview Eric &amp; Emily and facilitate a get-to-know you conversation on Eric's behalf. A month passed by and the group met up again, this time spending hours hanging out at some of our favorite places, and Emily beat Eric in shuffleboard (a winning streak at Indeed that Eric has yet to break)--while Dave kept pushing the two of us next to each other. The two exchanged numbers and the rest is history. They say when you know you know. Emily has texts saved from a conversation with her best friend Jordan before our first official date happened where she told her that Eric was it. At the end of our first date, we sat in Eric's car talking about everything and anything for hours. After two years of dating, a move to be in the same city, and Eric giving Emily countless rides to work, we went for a walk by the river at Sunset on the first warm day this March. While sitting &amp; watching the Sunset at Nicollet Island Pavillion, Eric got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him--knowing that the two of us together can do anything. We feel so fortunate to have the love and support of our friends and family joining us as we make a promise to God and each other. We can't wait to get married!

There's nothing this girl can't do! A fellow nurse, the two of us can talk for hours about work (sometimes to the gripes of our family). Kate also should get credit for about half of the wedding planning...it may not have happened without her.

T always has the best dish on new books, new musicals, and is always down to do "something". T is (almost always) putting up with Emily's antics--including baking treat requests from TikTok or trying a sip of Emily's beer that T most certainly won't like (but still tries).

Day Brightener. Always there to lend a kind word or a snarky joke--whatever you need. Taylor Swift Lover. 
Nothing brings people together like food poisoning on a work trip...especially when you have to get on a plane and fly home. While we went to nursing school together, we didn't become friends until after we graduated and randomly ended up working our first nursing jobs together. Fast forward 10+ years later, here we are! The best kind of friends are the ones that can pick up exactly where you left off last time without missing the beat.

Life isn't complete without the friend you can hang out with while not depleting your social battery--for me that's Abby. Abby and Emily first met when Abby sat down at a table with Emily in college and we pretended we knew each other. We became close when we both got our first nursing jobs in Rochester & have been through all the ups and downs life gives you together--growing into adulthood. We may never hug, but the feelings are there.

Last in the alphabet, but certainly not in my heart. Ali & Emily met for coffee one day & nearly 10 hours later were fast friends. 10 years, moves across the country, and a whole lot of life later--we still haven't run out of things to talk about.
