Like any great love story, ours began where we least expected it—at work. Emily was a waitress, and Jake, the charming food runner who quickly caught her eye. Jake was on a mission to win her over, relying on a steady stream of corny (yet strangely effective) pickup lines to get her attention. What started as playful banter soon turned into something more.

At a holiday party in 2016, after a bit of liquid courage from the open bar, Emily decided to take the plunge and asked Jake for his number. From there, their connection grew. Over the next few months, they spent countless hours getting to know each other, laughing together, and realizing that they might be onto something special. Then, on July 4, 2017—with a sky full of fireworks as his backdrop—Jake asked Emily to "officially" be his girlfriend.

Fast forward seven years (yes, seven!), and on October 27th, 2024 during an apple-picking trip, Jake got down on one knee and asked Emily to spend forever with him. Everything about it was perfect. And, as they say, the rest is history.
