We can only accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you receive a plus one it will appear on your invitation. We want to keep our wedding intimate with our closest family and friends!

We’d love everyone to look their best! Semi-Formal or Business casual- please no jeans!

We have two photographers that will be taking photos, so we ask that you please do NOT take your own photos until the reception begins. Thank you for your understanding.

Ceremony will be starting at 3:30 pm so we recommend showing 15-30 minutes in advance!

There is a small gap between the ceremony and the reception. We plan for the wedding to be a short and simple ceremony at 3:30. Afterwards the wedding party and immediate family will be doing photographs and the reception/dinner will begin at 6pm. You can arrive at the reception early if you wish, but if you would like to take a walk or a drive around the beautiful property of Pokagon State Park first, you’ll have plenty of time to do so! Thank you for your patience during this time.

The reception at The Potawatomi Inn is just a ten minute drive from the church. When you arrive at Pokagon State Park, you do not have to pay a gate fee! Just state that you are here for the Kern Wedding and you will be able to pass and park in the hotel parking lot.

The bride and groom have chosen to have an Italian buffet, to celebrate their Italian honeymoon! Menu includes Chicken Parmesan, Fettucine Alfredo, & Lasagna, along with sides and desserts. Buon appetito!

Dinner’s on us, drinks are on you- if you plan to consume, bring a buck or two! We will be hosting water, lemonade and coffee, along with one kind of beer. All other drinks available at our cash bar.

You have great options! Our venue happens to be a very nice inn right on Lake James. You can book by calling (877) 563-4371 or by going to their website. There are some other local hotels as well, or if camping is your thing, you can book a campsite in Pokagon!
