Wedding Day Transportation
For your convenience and safety, we have provided a number of transportation options for you throughout the wedding day, with the following itinerary:
3:35 PM - James River Transportation 55-Passenger Bus arrives at Hilton Norfolk: The Main. This vehicle will depart for the church promptly at 3:50 PM, and guests will be required to have loaded the bus prior to that time.
3:50 PM - Bus departs for Christ + St. Luke's Episcopal Church
3:55 PM - (2) Smaller Orange Peel Transportation Shuttles arrive at Hilton Norfolk: The Main, and (1) Smaller Orange Peel Transportation Shuttle arrives at Glass Light Hotel + Gallery, to accommodate any later-departing guests.
4:00 PM - All (3) Smaller Shuttles depart for Christ + St. Luke's Episcopal Church as the final transportation option for guests.
4:30 PM - Ceremony begins.
5:00 PM - Ceremony ends. All vehicles will be available for guest transportation to Cocktail Hour and Reception at Norfolk Yacht + Country Club.
9:35 PM - Bus becomes available to transport early-departing guests back to hotels. The final departure time for early bus trips is 10:15 PM.
11:00 PM - Reception ends. Grand Send-Off to follow.
11:30 PM - Bus makes its final departure for downtown hotels. All guests who wish to make use of the transportation provided must load onto this shuttle.
A few loving notes regarding transportation:
- Because space on the later-departing shuttles will be very limited, we strongly encourage all guests to make use of the larger bus, departing from The Main at 3:50 PM.
- Missed the bus? No problem! Norfolk has plenty of ride sharing services available, including Uber and Lyft.
- Your safety is our top priority, so if you have concerns or questions about anything, please let one of our wedding planners know! They will be on site for the duration of the evening, and are equally as invested in getting everyone home safely.
Hilton Norfolk The Main
Experience the contemporary urban luxury, stunning rooms & suites, local dining, and river views at this downtown Norfolk, VA hotel.
This is the hotel at which the Bride and Groom will be staying but availability here is limited, so book quickly!
A 2-Night Minimum stay is required in order to qualify for the Group Rate and the cut-off for booking with The Main is September 20, 2023.

Glass Light Hotel & Gallery, Autograph Collection
Glass Light Hotel + Gallery is an intellectually curious boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Norfolk, just steps from many local restaurants and places to explore! Please note that only Standard King Rooms are being offered through this block and a 2-Night Minimum stay is required in order to qualify for the Group Rate. Parking: Utilize the Boush Street parking garage which is directly behind the hotel. Self-parking is $19 per day, which allows in and out access of the garage. Please note that you will need to bring your ticket to the Front Desk to have it validated for the in and out access.
There is a back entrance to the hotel in the alley between the hotel and garage. A room key is needed to open the door, but if guests want to use this entrance prior to checking in, there is a button that will buzz the Front Desk to open the door. Guests are also able to pull in the front of the hotel in the valet area to check in prior to parking.
Norfolk International Airport
The most convenient location by far, Norfolk International Airport is small and easy to navigate. Its location is also unbeatable, at just 15 minutes from the downtown hotels.
Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport
A 45 minute drive from downtown hotels, the Newport News/Williamsburg Airport is the second closest. Airlines and destinations are a bit more limited, but pricing is typically comparable to Norfolk International.
Richmond International Airport
Richmond is quite a bit farther than the other two local airports, at a 2 hour drive, assuming no traffic. The upside is that international flights are offered, and the facility is significantly larger than both Norfolk and Newport News/Williamsburg. Please note that a rental car would be a must when flying into Richmond.
