In 2019, Emma’s mom, Cathy, took up a new hobby: playing matchmaker for her daughter. Cathy went to a party with her friends from spin class and she wasted no time inquiring about their sons’ relationship statuses and showing them photos of Emma. Only one prospect seemed promising: a young man named Quin, the son of her friend and instructor, Colleen. Cathy and Colleen jokingly daydreamed about their children getting together someday, never imagining it would become a reality.
