In 2019, Emma’s mom, Cathy, took up a new hobby: playing matchmaker for her daughter. Cathy went to a party with her friends from spin class and she wasted no time inquiring about their sons’ relationship statuses and showing them photos of Emma. Only one prospect seemed promising: a young man named Quin, the son of her friend and instructor, Colleen. Cathy and Colleen jokingly daydreamed about their children getting together someday, never imagining it would become a reality. Emma and Cathy, in typical mother-daughter fashion, talked about the potential match right away. Emma remembered Quin from high school, but didn’t think he would want to connect. And in typical mother-son fashion, Quin had very little to say when his mom mentioned Emma. But if there are any moms reading this who think their sons don’t listen to them, get this: Quin followed Emma on Instagram the next day and the rest is history.&nbsp; In April, Emma and Quin will be a testament to meddling mothers everywhere, when Cathy and Colleen go from matchmakers to mother-in-laws.
