Emma and Vince were destined to be together..and that was according to their, at the time, 16-year-old older siblings Zannah and Anthony. A plot began for Vince and Emma to get to know each other before they both started high school together at Hill-Murray.

Freshman year began and the pair had multiple classes together, including first hour English where Vince would say hi to Emma every morning.

The years of high school flew by; Vince being the social butterfly he is, involved in multiple sports and activities, while Emma was quieter, focused on her schoolwork and gymnastics.

It wasn’t until junior year when the two started hanging out in the same social circle. Emma even invited Vince to a school play and purposely didn’t invite anyone else (was this their first date?). In the Hill-Murray auditorium, Emma met multiple family members on the Hurley side, accidentally.

They continued to be friends, but were always drawn to each other. Vince even tried to get Emma to sit next to him in the mornings before class and she said no every time. Their official first date was one of the last days of school, where they were going to “study” for finals. They went to Yogurt Lab and bonded over the many similarities they had. Emma got a C- on the final.

On July 11, 2019- Vince asked Emma to be his girlfriend on a hike near his house. Officially together, one month before going to separate colleges. Now, after six years of dating, more than four years of long distance, two college graduations, dozens of college gymnastics meets, hundreds of FaceTime calls, a torn Achilles, a passed PA exam, a news reporter job, an official role as a PA at Mayo Clinic, and a million laughs later- they officially get to hang out forever!

Looking back at their scheming older siblings, Emma and Vince agree, they were destined to be together.
