Avondale Sky winery is located across the hill/ road from where Matt and Emma are going to get married! Feel free to come early and try a glass of wine in their beautiful retail space prior to the wedding ceremony or sit on their back deck and enjoy their offerings at their restaurant.

It wouldn't be a wedding in Avondale if we didn't go mud sliding. If the tide times work in our favour on the 1st of September we will go mud sliding post wedding! So stay tuned for more information on this!

There is a beautiful trail system that is maintained by the community of Avondale. It is pet friendly! You can add in a walk before the wedding or if you are staying in the area after the wedding it would make for a wonderful post wedding day walk!

Meander River Brewery is located 30 minutes from the wedding venue. It has lavender fields and great beer if you are looking for somewheres to stop on your way to the wedding on the next day as a way to cap off the long weekend!

Located 10 minutes from the Wedding Venue, you could stop here on your way to the wedding for a beer and local food and maybe see the Tidal Bore!

Great Beer and food! It is located just off the highway on the way to the Wedding Venue. It is approx 30 mins from the Wedding Venue.

The Spitfire is located in Windsor and is 25 minutes from the wedding venue. It is just off the Main Street of Windsor. There are thrift stores and cafes and local art studio spaces around!

The flying Apron has amazing food and is located approx 30mins from the wedding venue if you find yourself wanting to start your wedding day early and go for lunch prior to the wedding! It is a beautiful drive along the old highway from Halifax.

If you are from away, this is a wonderful space that is full to the brim of local art work in all forms!
