THE VENUE

Fingask Castle is the ancestral home of the Threipland family who have been living here for some 400 years. They have always been a hospitable lot (Bonnie Prince Charlie, and his father stayed here!) and as soon as we first visited we knew it was the perfect place for the Ure wedding. With plenty of space in and outside the castle, we know you will fall in love with it just as we did!

Fingask Cottages are set over 250 acres of the historic gardens and woods of Fingask Castle, enjoying southerly views to the Firth of Tay and the hills of Fife beyond. The half mile long drive curves up through the wooded glen and crosses Fingask stream on a high arched stone bridge overlooking St Peter’s Well in the dell below. Fingask is truly a magical place!

Guests are welcome to use some of the other estate facilities, such as the games room (behind the castle) where there is a full-sized snooker / billiard / Freda table, table tennis &amp;&nbsp;bar football. Our swimming pool is available during the warmer months and a weedy tennis court for a relaxed knockabout game.

ACCOMODATION

Fingask has a range of on-site accomodation, including 2 person sheds and larger cottages. All the cottages at Fingask have central heating and log fires. They are fully furnished and equipped including TV/DVD, bath, shower, electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a good selection of pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses, toaster, kettle etc. The self catering cottages are family and pet friendly with cots, highchairs and stair gates available on request. SCRAN

Fancy, average-tasting food is not our style! When it came to our wedding there was never a debate - pizza! Our wood-fired artisan pizza and sides will keep everyone coming back for more!

From Perth/Edinburgh/Glasgow:Take the A90 Perth-Dundee dual carriageway. About 12 miles from Perth, just after the Shell garage, take the Inchmichael junction turn off left and then right turning, following signs to Rait for approx half a mile until small crossroads, turn right- following signs to ‘Fingask; then take the first driveway on the left (opposite a white house). Curve up to your right to the top of the driveway. From Dundee/Aberdeen:Take the A90 Dundee-Perth dual carriageway. About 10 miles from Dundee you will pass a caravan sales and the Horn Bar, take the Inchmichael junction go over the flyover heading for the village of Rait for approx half a mile until you come to a small crossroads, turn right- following signs to ‘Fingask’- then take the first driveway on the left (opposite a white house). The road heading into the venue is beautiful, but also tight and bumpy! Parking is available for those not staying on site, but we'd recommend car sharing where possible!

By Car

Perth Train Station would the nearest option for those arriving by train, however, you would then need a bus to get closer to the venue. Buses mainly only run to Inchmichael, which is a 30 minute walk from the venue. If you have any issues with getting to the venue please let us know and I'm sure we could arrange something!
