Jacob and Emma's story starts at ISU. Both were music education students at the time, and both spent the majority of their time practicing their instruments in the fine arts basement! One fateful day, Jacob was sitting at one of the tables in the basement studying for a music history exam, and Emma was taking a break from one of her practice sessions. Jacob and Emma locked eyes, and Jacob officially introduced himself. After that moment, the two of them would have a few conversations with one another during marching band or in passing, but one night, Emma needed someone to talk to, and Jacob just happened to be there. After that moment, the two of them were inseparable!
