What is the dress code for the wedding?
Formal evening attire. If helpful, read more here: https://www.theknot.com/content/formal-wedding-attire.
As long as weather permits, the ceremony will be held outside on the hotel's back deck, overlooking the Navesink River.
As we will be on the water in late September, there may be a chill in the air. Please feel free to bring a shawl/pashmina/sweater for the ceremony.
Where should I stay?
Our venue is of course a hotel! The hotel only has ~100 rooms, so our room block (for Saturday only) is first-come first-serve. We would recommend requesting early check-in.
As the venue has a wedding the night before ours, rooms at the Molly Pitcher Inn will be extremely limited for Friday.
In the case you are unable to get a room at the Molly Pitcher Inn, Red Bank offers a lot of alternatives:
1) The Oyster Point Hotel - a 4-minute walk from the Molly Pitcher Inn, this hotel is the Molly Pitcher Inn's sleek and modern grand daughter (same owners);
-2) Courtyard by Marriott Lincroft Red Bank, A quick 8-minute drive or Uber to the venue with an indoor pool;
3) Extended Stay America - Red Bank - Middletown, ~ Also an 8-minute drive from the Molly Pitcher Inn, this is the most cost-efficient option;
4) The Hub Middletown Red Bank, This is a "modern" signature hotel owned by the Best Western;
5) Airbnb has options in Red Bank and Shrewsbury (closest to the venue), as well as Sea Bright, Middletown, Atlantic Highlands/Highlands (all within 20 minutes of the venue).
What days should I book my hotel for?
We'd love for you to join us for a welcome party on Friday evening, if you are in town. Otherwise, the wedding begins at 5:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.
What is for dinner?
No need to choose in advance! You will be able to decide your meat, fish or vegetarian entree upon sitting at your table. Do let us know if you have any food allergies or require special accommodations (the bride is very accustomed to helping navigate dietary challenges).
Can we bring our children?
We love your children and would be thrilled for them to join us. That being said, we do ask that you: 1) kindly let us know in advance of your plans to bring a child and whether you expect them to eat dinner with us (we know some kids are picky!), and 2) arrange a sitter during the reception (we can help with local recommendations and connections, as needed). Your kiddos can certainly spend time on the dance floor, but as the night goes on, we want to make sure everyone can let down their hair (responsibly), while also ensuring your little one is taken care of.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, we will have an open bar at the wedding until 10:30 p.m. ET.
Can I take photos during your wedding?
We are asking for your help in maintaining a cellphone-free ceremony. The rest of the night, snap away!
What is the welcome party?
We're thrilled to go to Triumph Brewery Company (.3 miles from our venue) for a killer wedding weekend kickoff. There will be a live band playing, and the bar has everything you could think of (in addition to its excellent beers), including an elevated food menu for those who are hungry. This will not be an open bar.
What's the after party?
At 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Molly Pitcher Inn's cocktail bar, the International Bar, welcomes the wedding crew to close down the night with late night bites and drinks.
Where are you going on your honeymoon?
Italia awaits! We are planning to travel to Sicily in October. We're going to take a minute to decompress, first.
Do you really have a celebrity couple name?
Yes, thank you for asking.
