Our dress code is black semi-formal

Wear black! Black & white patterns, all black, whatever your heart desires (as long as it’s mostly black!). A great example was David & Patrick’s wedding in Schitt’s Creek if you like a visual example.

Typical October weather in Minneapolis has a high of around 65°F, low typically around 45°F. We are hoping for a beautiful sunny day and for the fall colors to be showing themselves off!

Yes! The Blaisdell uses the parking lot of the school across the street, we will let you know if that will not be available due to any school events. There is plentiful street parking as well. Since this is an event where alcohol is being served, find a designated driver or utilize ride share services if you will be drinking!

Ceremony & main part of the reception will be held indoors. There is an outdoor area at the venue for guests to visit should weather be cooperative.

Short Answer: No. Longer Answer: there will be an opportunity after the wedding party has processed in for guests to take as many photos as they want before the ceremony begins. We ask that our guests keep personal photography with phones, tablets, cameras, etc. to that moment. We have hired wonderfully talented photographers to capture our day and would love to share those images with you upon request! Reception and cocktail hour is free-for-all photo-taking time!

There will be a cocktail hour in between the ceremony and the reception where appetizers and drinks will be served.

We are doing our dinner buffet-style. Here are the options you will have to choose from (not including vegetarian options): chicken breast (with your choice of sauces available), whole grain mustard braised roast beef, herb roasted potatoes, roasted vegetables in a white wine butter sauce, and garden salad. Our vegetarian option is a roasted veggie-stuffed portobello mushroom on wild rice. We will also have appetizers during the cocktail hour as well as some snacks later in the evening! (And cake, of course)

Kid's meal is chicken tenders, roasted potatoes, and fruit.

Ben & Emma will be hosting an open house at their home the next morning; family & friends are welcome to swing by!
