Our Wedding

Emma and Richard met during their undergraduate studies at THE Ohio State University. They were on campus together for several years without knowing each other only to meet during Richard's last semester of senior year. Friends of the couple, Kristen and Mike, are to thank for Emma and Richard's love story. Kristen, Emma's friend, invited her to a fraternity "date party" so she would have a friend with her. Kristen was attending the event with her "friend" at the time, Mike (Spoiler: they're now married). It just so happened Kristen, Mike, and Richard were in the same neuroscience class that semester and Richard was also in Mike's fraternity. Richard didn't have a date and Kristen made sure to fix that right away. A week before the blind set up, Richard and Emma just so happened to cross paths at "The O", a fine OSU establishment and realized they would be going to the event the next week together. From that night, on Emma and Richard were inseparable. Richard was accepted into Law School at OSU where he attended as Emma finished her undergraduate degree. The two have built countless memories together over the years. From OSU games, traveling the country, trying every new restaurant in Columbus, adopting their dog, Sophie, and everything in between. They endured 3 moves over the last 8 years and two graduate degrees. Emma and Richard have grown deep in their love for one another over the years. In 2023, Richard decided it was time to ask a very important question. He asked Emma's dad, for his blessing to propose and if anyone knows Chip Schoepf you may know what happened next. He cried and said "Of course!" Months later after formulating a master plan with the Bride's sister, Richard bought a ring. On Christmas day, Richard surprised Emma by asking her hand in marriage and bringing the two families together to celebrate. The couple could not be happier to bring all of their family and friends together to start the rest of their lives together as husband and wife.
