If you are coming from Victoria there are a couple of options for travel depending on your preference. You can:
- fly from YYJ to PDX, and rent a car at the airport or take the airport shuttle to Salem Oregon.
- take the blackball ferry line from downtown Victoria to Port Angeles, Washington and take the beautiful scenic drive through Washington State to Oregon. (This trip takes about 7 hours (including ferry time - 1.5hrs)
- you can take the Amtrak train from Vancouver to Salem Oregon. When you book the Amtrak, you begin with a 3 hour bus ride from Vancouver to Seattle, then board the train in Seattle and depart at the Salem Oregon stop. Both the bus and train are part are purchased as a single ticket. (This trip takes approximately 10 hours, but the train is very comfortable).
Emma has taken each of these journeys since moving to Victoria, so please reach out if you have any questions!
