Mike and Emma met doing what they do best; Mike was managing a bar and Emma was enjoying happy hour! The next day they went to brunch with friends and almost immediately started yelling at each other about football. Amidst the yelling, they both had a silent moment where they both realized there could be something special between them.

Then the world shut down. Their first dates mostly comprised of picking up takeout, drinking wine on the balcony, and getting Emma hooked on reality television. Mike convinced Emma to adopt her first dog, Jackson, when they went to “just look” at puppies. A year later after they had moved in together it was Emma's turn to convince Mike to adopt their second dog, Baxter.

As the world began to open up they were able to go on more adventures together to Maine, Cape Cod, Mexico and Italy growing together with every mile they traveled.

Most recently, Emma planned a birthday trip for Mike where Mike surprised Emma by proposing - despite everyone else in their lives knowing this was the real plan all along. When they returned, Mike, with the help of their close friends, surprised Emma once again with an engagement party back at the bar where they first met.

Since then they have bought their first home in Falls Church, VA and have spent their free time planning the wedding while looking forward to celebrating their marriage with all of their loved ones!
