Is there a dress code?
The dress code is Semi-Formal attire. We would love to see all of our loved ones get dressed up for our big day and ask that you do not wear jeans.
What if I am able to attend the ceremony, but not the reception?
We do not need a guest count for our ceremony, but request that you still update your RSVP for the reception so we have an accurate head count. You will be missed at the reception, but we are so grateful that you will still be a part of our special day at the ceremony.
Can I bring a guest or date?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP.
Is there really 2 hours between the ceremony and reception?
Our wedding ceremony will begin at 1:30. The Basilica has a Saturday night mass every week. Due to the Saturday mass, we have to be out of the Basilica by a certain time. Our reception/cocktail hour will begin at 4:30. After our ceremony, and before the reception, we encourage our guests to go back to their hotel or Airbnb for some relaxation, go to the Field of Dreams, or even check out some of the local bars/breweries that exist in Dyersville.
How do we purchase drinks at the reception?
You will be able to use cash or card to purchase drinks during the reception.
Will there be a shuttle?
Shuttle services will not be provided. We encourage guests to carpool if possible and drive safely. You are more than welcome to leave your car parked overnight at the Commercial Club.
