At the end of August in 2021, Hannah had just completed her first two years of classes at Arkansas State University's School Psychology Ed.S. program and was beginning her internship with the Springdale Public Schools in Springdale, Arkansas.

That same summer, Eric had just completed his administrative fellowship and was beginning his career as the Business Operations Manager of Emergency Services at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Like all good modern love stories, while Eric was on a trip with his graduate school friends in Branson, Missouri, Eric matched with Hannah on Bumble. After a few weeks of messaging back-and-forth and a couple of FaceTime calls, they decided to meet. Hannah made the 8 1/2 hour trip with her two dogs, Meryl and Delilah, and met Eric in Baton Rouge.

From there, everything began to fall into place. Eric and Hannah immediately began dating and would travel between Arkansas and Louisiana every other weekend by plane or car. In between, they would stay in touch through texting and nightly phone calls while making dinner.

After months of dating, Hannah was nearing the end of her internship and needed to make a decision as to where she would move next. Wanting to be closer together, both Hannah and Eric began job searching around the DFW metroplex and within one week of each other, had secured jobs.

In May of 2022, Hannah and Eric moved to Dallas. Hannah began working as a School Psychologist for the Frisco Independent School District, while Eric accepted the position of Director of Finance for Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital in Arlington. Since then, the two have been inseparable.

After the move, it quickly became clear that Hannah and Eric were meant for one another (although I would guess that both would argue they knew long before that). Hannah and Eric have been each other's best friends, biggest supporters, and closest confidants. They are overjoyed to begin their lives together as the Alvarezes and are so happy that you can be there to celebrate with them!
