Eric and Claire met in January 2014 on a dating app called Tinder. One week later, they went on their first date. Initially, they planned to just meet for brunch. They enjoyed each other’s company so much that their date ended eleven hours later. After meeting for brunch at Sea Breeze Cafe, they explored Lands End, got milk tea at Tpumps, watched the sunset against the Golden Gate Bridge at Chrissy Field, and ended the night with dinner at Pizza Orgasmica.

Three months later while watching the sunset at Ocean Beach, Eric asked Claire to be his girlfriend. Over the next four years, they supported each other while they pursued their passions. Claire received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014. She moved to Redding to begin her career as a Registered Nurse, and they strengthened their bond during their “long-distance” relationship. After one year, she accepted a job with California Pacific Medical Center and returned home to San Francisco. Eric received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018 and joined Kaiser Permanente.

In September 2019, they returned to one of their favorite hiking spots, Alamere Falls. Eric proposed to Claire and without hesitation she answered, ”Yes!" They moved in together shortly after and created a home together after much cleaning, painting, furniture assembly, and decorating. They spend their days together bonding and having fun with their dog, Jake.
