This is our first picture together! Back in September when we were just becoming friends. We decided to go for a walk to get to know each other and ended up walking 6 miles.

Our first regular picture together after church at Pillar in late September. Our outfits were matching, so we had to take a picture! We are still just friends though.

We are no longer just friends as we go on our first date! We ate Pizza Ranch at Tunnel park as we painted the sunset, and ended with a movie in historic Dimnent Chapel.

We dress up as Rick and Morty for Halloween as we attend Club Durf to celebrate our first holiday while dating.

For our second official date, we head to Saugatuck for a walk at Saugatuck Dunes State park at sunset. We took some timer pictures on Eric's camera and shared a meal at The Southerner.

Our first Christmas together in Dimnent! This year, we got to enjoy the service together as congregants, as neither of us were playing in the band.

We get to attend our first wedding together as Ellie's brother Matt and sister-in-law Lillie get married during our first summer together.

We go on our first vacation together with Eric's family to Edisto Beach and Charleston, South Carolina. This picture was taken after a morning of surfing at Folly Beach in Charleston.

We are back at Hope for another year, preparing for Ellie's first and Eric's second Groovin' in the Grove.

Near the end of the semester, we celebrate one year of dating with a date in Grand Rapids. However, our only picture from the evening is in the one and only Dykstra Hall, where Ellie lived as a sophomore RAR.

We are dressed up in Dimnent once again for our second Christmas together. This time, Eric is playing bass while Ellie supports from the congregation.

Eric spends another New Year in Wisconsin visiting Ellie and the Dirkse family as we explore the area around Cedar Grove. This picture is taken in Cedarburg, WI.

We get to go on Spring Break together this year, and end up in Pensacola, Florida with our friends Nick and Alli. While it wasn't that much warmer than Michigan, we made the best of it with bundled up beach trips and plenty of Catan.

We begin Ellie's 20th birthday celebrations with another fraternity formal in Cadillac, MI. We enjoy swimming, eating, and good fellowship with our friends.

Ellie supports Eric as he graduates from Hope College. He is excited to be done with school, and will soon find a job in Holland for his upcoming gap year.

We work together at the Awakening summer camp, helping high schoolers learn to lead worship.

We attend another wedding together, this one was Ellie's sister Molly and brother-in-law Seth!

We take another vacation with Eric's family, this one a road trip out East. After a stop at Niagara Falls, we enjoy a sunset cruise through Boston harbor.

We spend several days hiking through Acadia National Park in Maine for the last stop of the out East trip.

Another year celebrating our third Christmas in Dimnent! This time, Eric is supporting from the congregation and Ellie is playing keys.
