If you plan on flying, Grand Rapids International Airport (GRR) is the easiest place to fly to and is reached by all major airlines. Otherwise, Detroit and Chicago are both about 3 hours away.

If you are coming from Wisconsin, the Lake Express Ferry between Milwaukee and Muskegon is also an option, for a voyage of ~2.5 hours with an option to transport your car.
