Can I bring additional guests or kids to the event?

Although we love your little ones, please note that this is an adult only affair. We kindly ask that you please only attend with the names listed on your invitation. We thank you for your understanding.

What is a Sofreh Aghd Ceremony?

Our wedding ceremony will include the traditions and symbolism in a Persian wedding ceremony. In Farsi the word "sofreh" means 'spread' and "aghd" means 'ceremony'. The sofreh aghd is placed low to the ground or on the ground and the bride and groom sit down facing the sofreh. There is an intricate spread of items that stand for the shared journey of life and marriage upon which the couple is about to embark. Some of the elements you'll find on a sofreh include a mirror that signifies eternity, two candlesticks that signify light, nuts, and eggs for fertility, and coins for wealth and prosperity. We welcome everyone to observe the Sofreh Aghd before our ceremony starts!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors in a shaded area. Weather in late May typically is around the mid to high 80s. The reception will be held indoors.

Is there a dress code?

Yes- Formal Attire. For our summer wedding, our ceremony will be held outdoors, and the reception will be indoor . We suggest that men wear a lightweight suit in any color and women wear a cocktail dress or a nice pantsuit.

What kind of food will be served at the wedding?

We will be serving traditional Persian food buffet style from Sahara Mediterranean. Some food items include: beef kabobs, chicken kabobs, and vegetable kabobs with an assortment of traditional sides.

Will there be an open bar?

Absolutely :) We will have signature cocktails, beer, wine, and a full bar available. Also, if you are planning to enjoy our open bar, please plan accordingly! We recommend Uber and Lyft- you will need to schedule ahead of time due to the location of the venue.

Is there a hotel nearby?

Please check out all the information under the Travel tab on our website. We listed available hotels and AirBnbs that are close by.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the venue.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Our ceremony will be unplugged but we encourage any photos or videos that are taken be uploaded to our Google Photo drive (link coming soon) so we can share all the memories!

Where are you registered?
