While the rest of the world was busy watching Tiger King and learning to bake sourdough bread, Erica and Eric (yes, hilariously similar names) were falling in love. Like the socially responsible citizens that they are, they spent their first date walking around outside at a park. This date went so well that the walk went on for five hours, leading Eric’s future mother-in-law to joke that “either things are going really well, or Erica’s been murdered.” Dark! The couple continued dating and falling for each other, until one day Eric decided to ask Erica to marry him. The plan was to romantically ask Erica in the very spot where they met, on a walk in the woods. However, Erica was really into baking, so much so that she suggested that Eric take her mom for a walk instead. After some time, Eric was able to get Erica out of the house long enough to give her a ring (after a dog first knocked it out of his hand) and the rest is history.
