Our Wedding

We met in college, Biology 101. On the very first day, I turned to him, smiled, and said hello — and he rolled his eyes. Rolled. His. Eyes. Naturally, I assumed he was completely stuck up and made a mental note to avoid him.Fate (and our professors) had other plans.We ended up in the same study groups, although calling it a “study group” is generous. He never actually studied — he just showed up to distract the rest of us, I tried very hard to not be entertained by him.Then Covid hit, everything shut down, and when we finally returned to campus… something changed. We spent every day together, inseparable, and I found myself always wanting to be near him. The guy who once rolled his eyes at me somehow became my favorite person to talk to, laugh with, and do absolutely everything with. He became the funniest, kindest, and most generous person I knew.When we finally decided to start dating, he asked me to be his girlfriend in California in the middle of the ocean.Fast forward 4 years: my childhood best friends came to visit, we were in Sedona (my favorite place on earth), and he completely caught me off guard by proposing. It was the best day ever — in the red rocks, with my best friends, saying yes to the person who I once tried so hard to pretend I didn't like.And now here we are, ready for our next adventure… still laughing, still distracting each other, and still choosing to sit side by side — no eye rolls this time.

Meet Katie my matron of honor, my sister and my built-in best friend, and the only person who laughs at my jokes harder than I do. We've been inseparable since childhood. In the last 25 years of knowing each other she has happily let me steal her clothing, makeup, and her career (as little sisters should). To this day we spend hours on the phone (yes, even when we are supposed to be working..), and when I visit, we often stay up way to late watching our favorite show On Patrol: Live. She's the person who knows me best, never judges me, and always has my back. Simply put she is my person, and I couldn't imagine getting married without her by my side.

Meet Mariana, Mariana and I met at work, and our friendship basically started the moment I complimented her pants. Two minutes later, she grabbed her computer, monitor, and keyboard, moved her whole setup next to mine, and we've been inseparable ever since. Bonded by our love of wine, weiner dogs, and science (yes, we are that duo). From day one she has been my lab-life soulmate, best friend and now my maid of honor.

Meet Sara, Sara might be the groom's sister, but from the moment I met her she has felt like one of mine. Shes the calm, collected energy in her family, organized, easygoing, and always ready to roll with whatever chaos comes her way (which makes her MVP while wedding planning). We've spent plenty of days laughing together over brunch or a glass of wine, and I am so lucky to have her not just as family, but also a friend that I adore.

Meet Abby, my sister-in-law, but she's felt like a sister from the very start. We're always laughing and having a great time together. I may or may not be responsible for a slight gambling addiction she has developed over pull tabs. Abby is the ultimate hype girl, always supportive, always fun and always ready for whatever comes next.

Meet Megan, Megan was the first friend I made after moving to Arizona, and we've been hanging out ever since. Whether we are line dancing, shopping, trying something new, or just sharing a bottle of wine (or two), we always find a way to have a good time. She's my support system away from home - the one who always checks in, cheers me on, and never says no to a dance floor.

Meet Brittany, Brittany is my sister and the definition of "always there when you need her". She never misses a call, never lets you hang out alone, and always knows what to say. Growing up we never shared a room but that didn't stop me from constantly sneaking into hers anyway. I couldn't imagine getting married without her by my side.

Andrew and Michael have been inseparable since childhood — the kind of best friends who somehow managed to find trouble everywhere they went. From questionable childhood adventures to teenage schemes they still won’t fully admit to, these two practically grew up side-by-side… usually laughing.
Now that they’re adults (and cops, no less), they like to claim they’ve “matured.” And sure — they may not get into as much trouble as they used to.
Andrew has been there through every stage of life — childhood chaos, teenage mayhem, and adult responsibility — which is exactly why he’s standing beside the groom as Best Man.

Ricky and Michael have been friends for what feels like forever, bonded by countless hours on the hockey rink and shared adventures off it. Their friendship has grown into one of those rare relationships that’s equal parts competition, and laughter. The couple loves having him and his fiancé over for dinner and board game nights.
Ricky has a particular talent for polishing off an entire charcuterie board that the bride makes… when his diet allows, of course. Between laughs, snacks, and friendly competition, Ricky has become such an important part of Michael’s life that there was no question he’d be standing by his side on the big day.

Jake and the groom met in college while playing collegiate golf and have been close friends for the past seven years. Somewhere along the way, Jake also became the bride’s best friend — probably because he lived with them for three years and survived daily, overly-competitive games of Catan.

He’s the kind of friend who feels like family, and honestly, they’d let him move back in tomorrow without hesitation. (As long as he promises not to steal the longest road.)
That’s why Jake’s standing by the groom’s side — because he’s been part of their everyday life, their favorite memories, and their Catan victories… and defeats.

Luke isn’t just Michael’s cousin — he’s been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. From weekly family dinners at Grandma’s house to holiday gatherings filled with laughter, Luke has always been there for the moments that matter most.
Over the years, their bond has grown even stronger, with traditions like catching every new Marvel movie together becoming a highlight of their time spent together. Luke’s presence in Michael’s life is a constant reminder of family, friendship, and shared memories — which is exactly why he’s standing by his side on the big day.

Brett may be the bride’s older brother, but he and the groom have built their own solid friendship over the last five years — mostly through hanging out, joking around, and pretending they’re more responsible than they actually are.
Brett and his wife are easily two of the funniest people they know, and getting together with them (especially around a campfire) is always a guaranteed good time. Between the laughs, the late-night talks, and plenty of brother-in-law bonding, Brett has become a huge part of Michaels life.
That’s exactly why he’s standing with the groom — because family, fun, and campfires are kind of their thing.

Mason may be the bride’s little brother, but over the last five years, he and the groom have built a brotherly bond of their own — full of snowmobile rides, ski days, and plenty of terrible jokes that somehow make the cold Wisconsin winters feel warmer.
Michael has definitely taken on a big-brother role, guiding Mason… sometimes seriously, sometimes just making him laugh until he can't breathe. Between outdoor adventures and nonstop teasing, Mason has earned his spot standing next to the groom on the big day.

Rebecca isn’t just Michael’s cousin — she’s become like a sister over the years. Since moving to Arizona, we’ve spent countless hours together, whether it’s playing board games, trying new restaurants, or just sharing life’s everyday moments.
We couldn’t imagine anyone else officiating our wedding. Rebecca knows us — our quirks, our laughs, our love for each other — better than anyone and having her guide us through this special day feels perfectly right. She’s not just a family member; she’s a part of our story, and we are so grateful she’s sharing this moment with us.

Vivian may only be 10 months old at the time of the wedding, and she might not be walking yet… but make no mistake — she will still steal the show. Tiny shoes, big personality, and enough charm to melt everyone’s heart, Vivian is officially our most adorable VIP.

She’s the bride’s niece, the center of attention, and a guaranteed highlight of the day. Honestly, we couldn’t imagine walking down the aisle without her — she’s our little star, ready to sprinkle cuteness (and maybe a few giggles) all over the wedding.

Victoria isn’t just Michael’s cousin — she might as well be his sister. Between holiday get-togethers, epic board game nights, and countless laughs, she’s become an indispensable part of our lives.
As our family coordinator, Victoria is keeping everything running smoothly on the big day — and honestly, we couldn’t imagine leaving our wedding in better hands. She’s organized, hilarious, and somehow manages to keep us all in line while making it look effortless. Basically, she’s the hero we didn’t know we needed… until now.
