For guests coming from out of state, it will be easiest to fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. We recommend Alaska Airlines &amp; Southwest for the best prices. The flight from Denver to Seattle averages only ~2.5hrs!

For guests who want flexibility, renting a car from the airport is the easiest option!

Car Rental from SEATAC

To get onto San Juan Island with a car, you will need to take a ride on the Washington State Ferry from Anacortes to Friday Harbor! You'll want to purchase a round-trip ticket to Friday Harbor. Reservations are a necessity for these ferry rides. You can book your reservation up to 6 months in advance (we recommend booking at least a month before). After disembarking the ferry, Roche Harbor is a short, 20-minute drive through rural farmland and forests.

Washington Ferry

Bellair Shuttle offers multiple runs every day of the week, with pick-up/drop-off in SEATAC or downtown Seattle to the Anacortes ferry terminal (and southbound for your return home). Rates are $50-65 each way, not including ferry fare. There are also shuttles from Friday Harbor to Roche Harbor on the island. Several companies offer regularly scheduled flights from all over the Northwest to Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor.Kenmore Air is the only one to fly regularly scheduled services from Seattle directly to our resort (via floatplane), and also flies into Friday Harbor.San Juan Airlines flies from Anacortes to the Roche Harbor airfield and Friday Harbor, as does NW Sky Ferry.All of the scheduled-flight airlines operate charters into Roche Harbor and/or Friday Harbor.Other companies that offer charter-only flights in and out of Roche Harbor: Island Air and Westwind Aviation.

From Seattle to the Island by Boat

Take a ride on a high-speed catamaran for a quick and easy ferry ride to the Island. You’ll board the Victoria Clipper at Pier 69 in downtown Seattle and start your 3.5-hour scenic journey via Deception Pass to Friday Harbor. Once you arrive in town, Shuttles and taxis run throughout the day from Friday Harbor to Roche Harbor. Both options are available seasonally.

Roche Harbor is the location of our wedding AND a resort! There are lots of lodging options available on-site. The resort has a spa, a restaurant, a grocery store, walking paths, a restaurant, a gift shop, a coffee shop... anything you could need!
