Our Wedding

On a beautiful day in late May, 2020, Jill was on the rooftop of her new apartment building to studying for her genetic counseling board exam. As she was walking back down to her apartment she noticed two guys had arrived to the rooftop and one was very cute. Back down in her apartment, Jill decided it was time to make some friends in Allentown. So she packed a cooler full of DCLs (Delicious Coors Lights) and went back up to the rooftop. She approached the cute boy and said "I have no friends here, is it okay if I sit and drink with you?" He said yes. Two years later, she said yes.

The night we met

Memorial Day Weekend 2022, Erik made his first trip up to the Tokarczyk Family cottage in Barry's Bay, Ontario. He knew this was Jill's favorite place on Earth and that unfortunately she hadn't been able to visit for three years due to COVID restrictions on travel to Canada. After waking up at 4:30AM and a 9 hour drive, they finally arrived at the cottage. After unpacking, Erik went to the dock. He called to Jill to bring down the fishing pole and tackle box. When Jill got to the dock, she leaned down and asked what lure Erik wanted to use. Erik replied "how about this one?" and when Jill looked up she saw Erik on one knee with the most beautiful ring in his hands. Doug, Mar, and Nikki cheered from the porch as Jill said yes.

We have blocked rooms at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Allentown for both Friday, September 1st, and Saturday, September 2nd. This hotel is about 15 minutes from Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) and 35 minutes from the venue. We will be hosting a welcome reception at Blended, across the street from the Renaissance, on Friday night. We will also be providing transportation to and from the wedding venue to this hotel the day of the wedding. If preferred, there are other hotels in the area. If guests prefer to stay at the wedding venue, Bally Spring Inn, there are a limited number of rooms for Saturday night only. Please reach out to Jill or Erik if you would like more information regarding staying in one of these rooms.

This is the airport closest to the venue (37 min) and the hotel (15 min) where we have blocked rooms. Both the Newark airport and the Philadelphia airport are an hour and 20 minutes from the hotel but the Philly airport is closer to the venue (1 hour 15 min versus 2 hours from Newark). PLEASE NOTE if you fly into Allentown from Newark, this 'flight' may actually be a bus! You can easily catch the bus from inside the terminal at Newark, checked bags will automatically make it onto the bus.
