On a beautiful day in late May, 2020, Jill was on the rooftop of her new apartment building to studying for her genetic counseling board exam. As she was walking back down to her apartment she noticed two guys had arrived to the rooftop and one was very cute. Back down in her apartment, Jill decided it was time to make some friends in Allentown. So she packed a cooler full of DCLs (Delicious Coors Lights) and went back up to the rooftop. She approached the cute boy and said "I have no friends here, is it okay if I sit and drink with you?" He said yes. Two years later, she said yes.

Memorial Day Weekend 2022, Erik made his first trip up to the Tokarczyk Family cottage in Barry's Bay, Ontario. He knew this was Jill's favorite place on Earth and that unfortunately she hadn't been able to visit for three years due to COVID restrictions on travel to Canada. After waking up at 4:30AM and a 9 hour drive, they finally arrived at the cottage. After unpacking, Erik went to the dock. He called to Jill to bring down the fishing pole and tackle box. When Jill got to the dock, she leaned down and asked what lure Erik wanted to use. Erik replied "how about this one?" and when Jill looked up she saw Erik on one knee with the most beautiful ring in his hands. Doug, Mar, and Nikki cheered from the porch as Jill said yes.
