Our Story

How We Met

Erik and Kait grew up 20 minutes from each other in small southern Minnesota towns. They had competing schools in sports and Kait often visited family where Erik lived, but they did not meet until 2019. As the saying goes... timing is everything.

In the summer of 2019, their paths crossed for the first time… that they knew of…! Erik and his friend went to watch the sand volleyball tournament at EJ’s Bar & Grill where Kait was also playing. While watching, he asked his buddy who Kait was since he has never seen her before and with some bantering between the two a DM (direct message on Instagram) was sent. After some detective work from Kait and her friend to determine if Erik was the real deal, she agreed on going to the Henderson Classic Car Roll-In for their first date. Erik was introduced to anyone and everyone that Kait knew, including a few family members! A couple of months later, they started officially dating and began all their fun adventures together.
