Our Story: From Friends to Forever

Erika and Mike's paths first crossed in 2022 when they were set up on a blind date by mutual friends. The evening went well, but Erika wasn’t quite ready to settle down—she was still enjoying the freedom of single life. So, she suggested they just remain friends. After all, Erika’s never been one to rush into anything. Mike, though disappointed, accepted the terms, and thus began a year-long journey of friendship. Over that time, he became her confidant, her buddy, and her someone to talk to when life got overwhelming. Deep down, they both sensed that there was something more to their connection, though neither of them quite knew what to do about it.

Fast forward a year, and one day, Mike gathered up the courage to ask Erika out to dinner again. The twist? Mike thought they were just hanging out as friends—nothing more, nothing less but Erika had a different plan in mind. What Mike thought would be a casual dinner turned into something far more significant: their second first date. As they talked, it felt as though they had known each other forever but there was a subtle shift and Erika couldn't help but wonder, maybe Mike wasn’t just a friend after all...

Though nervous from being in the dating world for so long, Erika prayed for a sign that this was the right path to take. In the midst of one of their favorite low-key dates, they shared Chinese takeout, and when Erika cracked open her fortune cookie, the message inside left her speechless: "Stop searching forever. Happiness is just next to you." She read it aloud to Mike, and his beaming smile said everything she needed to know.

From that moment forward there was no turning back and they were inseparable. Through laughter and tears, they grew together, discovering that sometimes the best love stories are the ones that take time. And now, here we are, ready to walk down the aisle and begin the next chapter of this incredible journey.
