Erika and Steve met through mutual friends at a Halloween party in 2021. They continued to hit it off and found many shared interests including travelling, live music and oilers games. In July 2023 they rescued a dog together and named her Chippy. In fall of 2023 they purchased a house together in Edmonton. On December 22, 2023, Steve proposed on the bridge in the front yard of their new place. 2024 has been busy full of renovations and sports but they are both looking forward to a fun marriage and honeymoon in Japan and the Philippines!
