They both met through social media and started knowing each other. It turned into a long distance relationship between Texas and New Mexico and a lot of plane ticket flights. This relationship was made possible by God and Southwest Airlines.

There was an opportunity to meet when Erika and her family were traveling to San Antonio, Texas. Roque drove 3 hours to San Antonio to met her for the first time. Erika and Roque first met at Tio Memos driveway where he met the family also.

April 2021 - Present

Roque and Erika have been in a long distance relationship for almost 3 years. Erika got in a plane for her first time to visit him, as well as Roque getting on a plane for the first time. Roque had never been to New Mexico and Erika had never been to Houston. With the moral support of their families, they were able to see each other every other month alternating turns.

Roque flew his whole family to New Mexico to be here for this special moment. We had dinner with both families. After dinner Roque then surprised Erika with a dream proposal and got down on one knee.
