In addition to a car rental or train, there is also the option of bus service from Dublin to Carrick-on-Shannon, which is about a 2 hour 40 minute ride, and then taxi service from Carrick to the Castle, about a 20 minute trip.
Bus service is with Expressway www.expressway.ie which has 6 daily trips from Terminal 2 (Zone 13) at Dublin airport to Carrick (Dublin to Sligo - Route 23) at 7:40 am, 11:20, 2:05, 5:50, 8:20 and 11:20 pm, and you can buy your bus ticket in advance.
There are several taxi companies in Carrick, which include carricktaxis.ie, carrickonshannontaxis.com and leitrimtaxis.ie, and we recommend that you also book this taxi ride in advance. There is no Uber option in Ireland, but you can use your Uber app to call a taxi, as a back-up plan.
Kilronan Castle
We have a plethora of rooms set aside for the Dahl-Boyle wedding on the nights of Aug 6th and 7th. There are still rooms available on Aug 8th, but much less. So if you want to stay at the castle for the 3rd night, make sure you book soon!
If you attempt to book online, you will observe that there are no rooms available. This is okay - this is because these rooms are being held for us. There are two ways you can book.

2. You may also send an email to enquiries@kilronancastle.ie, they will ask for your telephone number, email, and credit card information to complete the booking.
There is no formal block code although the room rate is discounted - mention that you are a guest of the Dahl-Boyle wedding when booking. We strongly recommend you take advantage of this and book at Kilronan if possible, it will make it so much easier to party seamlessly with us!
For transportation to and from the venue, Kilronan Castle's website has many great resources. It's about 2 hours from Dublin International airport by car or train (Connolly Station), so we recommend car rentals and services, or securing train or bus details in advance. (Railroad Eireann ;D) Knock Airport is just under an hours drive away from the castle, although there are fewer flights, particularly from the US, that come into Knock than Dublin.

The Landmark Hotel - Carrick on Shannon
The Landmark Hotel is located in picturesque Carrick On Shannon, on the banks of the river. It is a 20 minute drive away from Kilronan Castle. There is lots to do and lots of places to eat and drink in Carrick, so if you chose not to stay at the castle, we recommend you base in Carrick. The Landmark Hotel also has a babysitting service available, and the restaurant downstairs is phenomenal. Please note we do not have a room block here. At this time we do not have transportation from Carrick to the Castle. Will continue to monitor.
Bush Hotel - Carrick on Shannon
Also in Carrick On Shannon, The Bush is right in the middle of the action. If you are looking for a more traditionally European style hotel, The Bush is for you. Please note we do not have a room block here. At this time we do not have transportation from Carrick to the Castle. Will continue to monitor.
