Where should I park for the wedding ceremony?

The best parking garage to use near the church is the Mall Parking Garage also known as the World of Wonders garage. We have been told it will be on normal rates still for Saturday, but there is a slight chance they could still put it on event parking rates due to a huge Olympic trials swimming and diving event going on at Lucas Oil Stadium nearby in the downtown area that day in which case I would recommend looking for alternative parking nearby. There is also some street parking downtown close by, multiple other garages and paid parking lots in a few block radius around the church, as well as the church is walkable from the downtown hotel blocks if you are staying in one of those. Further information about World of Wonders (Mall) garage at this website: https://downtownindy.org/parking/world-wonders-garage-circle-centre-mall. For accessing the church, you may enter through the main front church doors on Capitol Ave across from the convention center. There is a wheelchair ramp for the church in the alley just to the left of the main church entrance doors.

What should I do in between the ceremony and reception?

There will be around a 2 hour gap from 2-4 pm between the ceremony and start of reception. During that time, you could check out the church until 3pm, go check in at your hotel, go to a suggested in between location mentioned on the website, or do whatever you'd like! The drive from the church to the reception venue is about 20-30 minutes so factor this in to your plan as well. If you arrive at the reception venue a few minutes early that's okay, but the cocktail hour will not officially be starting until 4pm.

What should I wear?

Formal attire is preferred. This could include a shirt and tie with or without a jacket for the men, and a dress or nice skirt for the ladies. We know it might be a little toasty in June for the wedding so black tie is definitely optional but feel free to go for it if you want! The wedding and reception are both indoors, but there is a lot of outdoor area too at the reception that will be available for mingling/cocktail hour.

What kind of food will be served at the reception?

We are having a pasta dinner buffet with 3 different options (including a vegetarian option) along with salad and a few sides. Children's meals will be chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and applesauce.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! There will be an open bar starting with the cocktail hour/hors d'oeuvres at 4pm onward. The reception venue has a strict no outside alcohol policy on property or within the building so please do not bring any outside alcohol, there will be plenty in the venue!

Where are most people staying?

There are two downtown Indy hotels with wedding blocks that some family and family friends are staying at within walking distance to the church, as well as two other hotels with wedding blocks on the southside in Greenwood area closer to the reception venue/closer towards Louisville. Some have found their own hotels/AirBnBs. Check out more details on the travel page!

Why is downtown so busy this weekend?

There is a huge U.S. Olympic Swimming and Diving Trials going on at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indy starting this weekend, along with a small Olympic Village on Georgia St. There is even a big Eiffel tower on Georgia St. right next to the church! While this definitely impacts parking and church access, we hope you still enjoy seeing all the fun activities in the area surrounding our wedding!
