Let's take a little trip down memory lane and go back to 2017. Erin was lifting with Relentless Barbell Club (RBC), when one day her coach, Fernando, let her know that a Powerlifter was going to be joining them in the gym. Enter Scott....! (To hear the real version of their first meeting...ask Erin in person- it's her favorite story!)

From that day, Erin forced her friendship onto Scott! Over the course of a few years, they developed a friendship that was built on awesome weather reporting bits, lifting, and music. This friendship was also built through smaller fleeting moments, as Scott was ALWAYS at the gym significantly earlier than Erin was.

Enter the pandemic! (I know we are all sick of hearing about it and talking about it, but just bare with us.... it is important to this story!) Scott was then stuck at home once the schools shut down for the rest of the school year. This is when their friendship really started to bud into something more. Scott and Erin really started to take the time to get to know each other significantly better than just their quirky nerdy joking bits.

Fast forward to December 2022, (Specifically Scott's mom's birthday!) and their relationship officially is labelled.

It wasn't until well into their relationship that they began looking back to the summer of 2020, and were able to admit their first date took place in June 2020, at Riverside Brewing, in Cambridge Springs. It also took until closer to their engagement, that they were both able to admit to each other, that it was in the middle of their gym friendship that they both had similar thoughts of "he/she would never go for me."

July 27, 2024 is the day that locked in the realization that we both absolutely adore each other, and we cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives with our best friend.
