North Carolina is very lucky to have both mountains and beach. Where we're having our wedding, we are about 3 hours from either!
If you consider making our wedding part of your vacation, the mountains or outer banks are a great option!
Morehead Planetarium and space center is a one of a kind place you'll want to visit while in town!
The Planetarium served as one of the areas to train Apollo astronauts, as well as a science museum, and one of the best Planetariums, showing stars shows all the time. See the website above for buying tickets to one of their shows, which includes access to the museum!
Established the same year as the Garden, the North Carolina Botanical Garden Foundation exists to bring individual and private sector support to the Garden’s mission of education and conservation. The Foundation raises money through its membership program, the generosity of its board, fundraising events and more. Individuals and households who annually join or renew their membership in the Foundation are members of the Foundation.
Equally important, the Foundation serves as a land trust to protect ecologically important lands near the Garden and beyond. It owns and holds conservation easements on over 300 acres of land adjacent to lands already protected by the Garden and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Rated #1 zoo in the country, this is a little bit away from where you are staying, but definitely worth it!
One of the nation's top science museums, this is not too far from Chapel Hill, and is completely free!
