Erykah had always known Alan as a colleague, a friend, someone you could count on to share a laugh during lunch breaks or to help you out when the workload got overwhelming. But over time, something changed. The casual conversations about weekend plans and travel plans began to feel different. They realized that maybe, just maybe, they were seeing each other in a new light. There was a spark they couldn’t ignore. And yet, as much as they felt that pull, they couldn’t quite bring themselves to say anything. They were just friends and coworkers, right?And then, the day came when Erykah left that job. The goodbye felt bittersweet. She was excited for the next chapter of her life, but there was this gnawing feeling that maybe she was leaving something—someone—behind.Her friends noticed it, too. They could see the way she spoke about him, the way her face lit up when she mentioned his name. So one night, after a long conversation in person and over the phone for a week, they finally asked her the question she had been avoiding.“Why don’t you just ask him out already?”She paused, her heart skipping a beat at the thought. “What if he doesn’t feel the same way?” she worried, her voice small.Her friends weren’t having it. They had seen how much they cared about each other, how easily they clicked, how much she truly enjoyed his company. They were tired of watching her second-guess herself.“He’s definitely into you,” they insisted, nudging her playfully. “Just text him. You’ve got nothing to lose, and everything to gain.”It was that push, that wave of encouragement, that finally gave Erykah the courage to do it. But still, the idea of sending that message made her hands shake. She stepped out of the conversation with her friends, grabbed her phone, and stared at the screen, unsure of what to say.“Should I keep it casual?” she wondered aloud to her friend Jessie, who told her what to say. “Just ask him out for drinks.”And so, with her support and words of wisdom echoing in Erykah's mind, she typed the message:“Hey, do you want to get drinks before you go to Mexico?”Her finger hovered over the “send” button for a minute, the weight of the moment almost overwhelming. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest. But then, she pressed “send.”The silence afterward felt deafening.Erykah told her friend, trying to hide the anxiousness in her voice, and waited for the reply. The minutes felt like hours.And then, her phone buzzed.His reply was simple, but it hit her like a wave of relief.“Hell yeah!”Erykah's friends erupted in cheers, congratulating her, and she could feel the excitement bubbling up in her chest. This was happening. He felt the same way.Their first date came a few days later. We went to dinner and walked around and now it was transformed into something new. When he dropped her off she blurted out that she had liked him and he had told her that he felt the same way.Looking back, Erykah knew that asking him out would have been so much harder without her friends by her side. They gave her the courage to take that leap of faith. They reminded her that sometimes the best things in life come when you’re brave enough to go after them.And through it all, her friends had been the quiet heroes, the ones who believed in them when they couldn’t believe in themselves. The ones who showed you that taking chances could lead to the most beautiful things.

This timeline is based off of the bride and groom's travels. this is not mandatory for everyone to follow, however, Alan says the wedding IS MANDATORY. Friday 10/10:We land in Guadalajara and will be in Zamora around 5pm. Potentially have a dinner/party with everyone who is in town both local family and traveling friends/family at 6pm. Saturday 10/11:11am- Arrive at Camecuaro Natural Spring12pm- Wedding starts2pm- Swim and have fun7pm -Dinner/Party Sunday 10/12:7am- Travel to Guadalajara12pm- Rodeo5pm- Dinner at Karne Garibaldi Monday 10/13:Fly back to seattle
