In August 2022 we went on a trip down to Kentucky and Tennessee with our friends Steve and Katie. The trip entailed spelunking at Mammoth Cave National Park, partying in Nashville, then sightseeing in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Our first hike in the Smoky Mountains was to Grotto Falls - a well-known waterfall in the park. It was then that Matt decided to propose. Mind you, it happened at 8:30 AM! When I shared the news with my friends they said we would be the couple to get engaged early in the morning!

In hindsight, I should have saw it coming as prior to the trip Matt mentioned I should get my nails done or at least paint them. Regardless, it came as a surprise and was the icing on the cake for such a wonderful trip!

It was honestly a matter of coincidence! I was invited last-minute to a Brantley Gilbert concert by my "cousin" Matt Solada in August of 2016. I met "Walter" at the concert, and the rest you could say is history.
