Our Wedding

Over&nbsp;some&nbsp;office&nbsp;water&nbsp;cooler&nbsp;banter,&nbsp;Austin&nbsp;shared&nbsp;his&nbsp;vision&nbsp;of&nbsp;a&nbsp;perfect&nbsp;woman:&nbsp;someone&nbsp;who&nbsp;can&nbsp;hold&nbsp;a&nbsp;conversation,&nbsp;is&nbsp;an&nbsp;attentive&nbsp;listener,&nbsp;and&nbsp;emotionally&nbsp;intelligent.&nbsp;For&nbsp;lack&nbsp;of&nbsp;better&nbsp;words,&nbsp;he&nbsp;exclaimed,&nbsp;"I&nbsp;want&nbsp;to&nbsp;date&nbsp;a&nbsp;psychologist!"&nbsp;His&nbsp;co-worker&nbsp;paused&nbsp;and&nbsp;reflected,&nbsp;"I&nbsp;know&nbsp;the&nbsp;perfect&nbsp;woman&nbsp;for&nbsp;you!"&nbsp;as&nbsp;she&nbsp;pulled&nbsp;up&nbsp;Eryn's&nbsp;LinkedIn&nbsp;profile.&nbsp;Austin&nbsp;took&nbsp;one&nbsp;look&nbsp;at&nbsp;Eryn's&nbsp;headshot&nbsp;from&nbsp;a&nbsp;psychology&nbsp;conference&nbsp;taken&nbsp;ten&nbsp;years&nbsp;prior&nbsp;and&nbsp;thought&nbsp;"she's&nbsp;cute!"&nbsp;From&nbsp;there,&nbsp;phone&nbsp;numbers&nbsp;were&nbsp;exchanged,&nbsp;a&nbsp;date&nbsp;at&nbsp;Tavern&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;Hill&nbsp;in&nbsp;Chestnut&nbsp;Hill&nbsp;was&nbsp;set,&nbsp;Eryn&nbsp;showed&nbsp;up&nbsp;in&nbsp;her&nbsp;work&nbsp;scrubs&nbsp;(jk,&nbsp;but&nbsp;he&nbsp;asked&nbsp;her&nbsp;to)&nbsp;and&nbsp;Austin&nbsp;took&nbsp;his&nbsp;last&nbsp;Septa&nbsp;bus&nbsp;as&nbsp;an&nbsp;eligible&nbsp;bachelor.&nbsp;On&nbsp;their&nbsp;second&nbsp;date,&nbsp;Austin&nbsp;invited&nbsp;Eryn&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;comedy&nbsp;show&nbsp;and&nbsp;they&nbsp;enjoyed&nbsp;dumplings&nbsp;in&nbsp;Chinatown&nbsp;afterwards&nbsp;while&nbsp;sneaking&nbsp;sips&nbsp;of&nbsp;a&nbsp;beer&nbsp;they&nbsp;brought&nbsp;into&nbsp;the&nbsp;restaurant&nbsp;under&nbsp;the&nbsp;table.&nbsp;They&nbsp;later&nbsp;shared&nbsp;their&nbsp;first&nbsp;kiss&nbsp;on&nbsp;this&nbsp;date&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;streets&nbsp;of&nbsp;Chinatown&nbsp;while&nbsp;a&nbsp;car&nbsp;drove&nbsp;by&nbsp;honking&nbsp;and&nbsp;cheering&nbsp;them&nbsp;on.&nbsp;Their&nbsp;third&nbsp;date&nbsp;was&nbsp;Austin's&nbsp;holiday&nbsp;party&nbsp;at&nbsp;Baker&nbsp;Tilly&nbsp;(heck&nbsp;yeah,&nbsp;free&nbsp;food&nbsp;and&nbsp;drinks!!)&nbsp;Between&nbsp;their&nbsp;mutual&nbsp;love&nbsp;of&nbsp;food,&nbsp;laughter,&nbsp;and&nbsp;non-traditional&nbsp;dates,&nbsp;the&nbsp;two&nbsp;developed&nbsp;an&nbsp;instant&nbsp;spark. In&nbsp;February&nbsp;2020,&nbsp;Eryn&nbsp;matched&nbsp;with&nbsp;her&nbsp;pre-doctoral&nbsp;internship&nbsp;in&nbsp;Minnesota.&nbsp;When&nbsp;she&nbsp;broke&nbsp;the&nbsp;news&nbsp;to&nbsp;Austin,&nbsp;he&nbsp;didn't&nbsp;even&nbsp;bat&nbsp;an&nbsp;eye&nbsp;and&nbsp;agreed&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;the&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;through.&nbsp;The&nbsp;plan&nbsp;was&nbsp;to&nbsp;take&nbsp;the&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;in&nbsp;stride&nbsp;and&nbsp;see&nbsp;if&nbsp;long&nbsp;distance&nbsp;could&nbsp;work.&nbsp;Then,&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;happened.&nbsp;And&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;strange&nbsp;turn&nbsp;of&nbsp;events,&nbsp;Austin&nbsp;could&nbsp;join&nbsp;Eryn&nbsp;in&nbsp;Minnesota&nbsp;while&nbsp;he&nbsp;worked&nbsp;remotely.&nbsp;This&nbsp;ultimately&nbsp;solidified&nbsp;their&nbsp;fate&nbsp;and&nbsp;they&nbsp;became&nbsp;inseparable. About&nbsp;four&nbsp;years&nbsp;later,&nbsp;their&nbsp;lives&nbsp;brought&nbsp;them&nbsp;to&nbsp;live&nbsp;in&nbsp;Lewisburg,&nbsp;PA.&nbsp;On&nbsp;December&nbsp;6,&nbsp;2024,&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;most&nbsp;Gilmore&nbsp;Girls-esque&nbsp;way&nbsp;possible,&nbsp;Austin&nbsp;proposed&nbsp;to&nbsp;Eryn&nbsp;under&nbsp;the&nbsp;gazebo&nbsp;in&nbsp;Huffenagle&nbsp;Park.&nbsp;She&nbsp;said&nbsp;yes.

We will be offering a school bus shuttle to and from the Hampton Inn before and after the wedding. 

The shuttle from the Hampton Inn will be making two trips to the venue at 3:30 and 4:00 PM. At the end of the night, a shuttle will take guests back to the Hampton Inn at 9:30 and 10:00 PM.

If you'd rather not take the school bus, you are welcome to utilize a service like Uber or Lyft. The venue is 15 minutes or less from downtown York and would cost approximately $15 one way. The venue is approximately 7 minutes from the Hampton Inn and would cost approximately $13 one way.

Explore the oldest farmer's market in America located in Lancaster, PA. You MUST try Pennsylvania Dutch food if you've never been to Lancaster. Soft pretzels and pastries are our favorites.
