Questions?

Will the ceremony or the reception be outside?

Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors!

Will this be a kid-free wedding?

Nope! Kids and infants are welcome and invited. Bring yo babies.

What should I wear?

In reverence to the fact that this sacrament will take place in the House of God, the bride and groom ask that all guests dress modestly and in their Sunday best. For men: dress slacks, ties, and jackets are preferred. For women: pants/dresses past the knees and shoulder coverings in the church are preferred. No jeans, khakis, or spaghetti straps please!

Can I bring a plus one?

If you did not have a plus one listed when you RSVP'd online, we ask that you do not bring one to the reception due to limited seating/dinner availability. All are welcome to join us at the ceremony!

Is this an unplugged ceremony?

Yes. Please keep your phones away during the ceremony! We know that this event is very important to many of you, and we will have professional photographers/videographers around to capture every moment.

What will take place at the ceremony?

We will be having a Catholic Nuptial Mass (a typical Catholic Mass with the addition of the exchange of vows and the Nuptial Blessing). Individuals of all faith backgrounds are welcome and invited to the ceremony! However, as Catholics, we believe that Holy Communion is the true presence of Christ hidden under the appearance of bread and wine. If you are not a practicing Catholic, we ask that you refrain from receiving Holy Communion at the end of Mass. You may either remain seated at the distribution of Holy Communion, or you may approach with your arms folded over your chest to receive a blessing from the priest.

What if I don't RSVP in time?

If you don't RSVP before October 12th, you are still welcome to attend the ceremony! However, we will miss you celebrating with us at the reception, since we will need to give our reception venue an accurate headcount weeks in advance.

Are there hotel accommodations?

We recommend booking your own accommodations at the Hampton Inn St. Charles St. Peters, which is within walking distance of the reception hall. There is a link to their website on the "Travel" page!

Will there be an open bar at the reception?

Yes! There will be an open bar from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, so there is no need to bring money to the reception!

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Guests will need to make their way out of the Cathedral soon after the conclusion of the ceremony. After that, there will be about 5 hours before the reception to explore the St. Louis/St. Charles areas! Feel free to grab lunch or go shopping in downtown St. Louis near the Cathedral, or the Historic Main Street St. Charles near the reception hall. Here are some places that are special to us: Favazzas on the Hill (our favorite restaurant), Cunetto's on the Hill (our first date spot), and The Missouri Botanical Gardens (our favorite meet-up spot).

Can I just attend the ceremony?

Yes! But we do ask that you RSVP "no" to the reception before October 12th so you are not included in the headcount.

Is the ceremony public?

You do not need an invitation to attend the ceremony! However, the reception is by RSVP only.
