They first met as friends in middle school, where they shared laughs, memories, and eventually, a young love in the 8th grade. The night of their Junior High School graduation dinner and dance, is when they both felt that fuzzy warm feeling that the other person was someone special. Ethylene was the quiet, long-haired Filipina with puka shells around her neck, and something about her captured Bernards heart. Meanwhile, Bernard was the guy who knew everyone, made friends with just about anybody, and had a respectful demeanor. Though life took them on different paths, with Bernard moving to Pittsburg before high school, they remained close friends. Ethylene, who always admired how respectful and shy Bernard was, made sure to invite him and his friends to gatherings, keeping their connection alive over the years. As time passed, fate stepped in once more. In their late 20s, they found their way back to each other-not just as friends, but as soulmates. Now, they are ready to celebrate a love that has stood the test of time, and they cant wait to share this next chapter with all of you. With love, Ethylene and Bernard

Samina Valdez-Sun and Ethel have known each other since 6th grade, but their friendship truly blossomed in 7th grade when they became best friends. Since then, they’ve been inseparable, sharing a special bond that is simply indescribable. One of their funniest memories is running to school together when they were late—dashing down the hill but never quite making it on time, often resulting in a stop at the principal’s office where they had to volunteer and pick up trash. Starting in 8th grade, they spent the entire day together at school, hung out after class, and even called each other after dinner. Their families thought it was odd how much they talked throughout the day, yet nothing could keep them apart. Ethel and Samina have a unique sense of humor that no one else can quite understand, and they’ve always been there to support each other through life’s ups and downs. Over the years, they became like sisters, with Ethel even describing Samina as her twin flame.

Emmafleur Quadra has been a part of Ethel’s life since their early school days. Although they technically first met in 6th grade while crossing the street on their way home, their true bond began in 7th grade. Since then, the two have shared countless adventures together—traveling to new places and bonding over their mutual love for anime. Emmafleur has always been someone Ethel can depend on; she’s been a constant source of support since childhood. With her infectious goofiness and ability to share endless laughter, Emmafleur has earned a special place in Ethel’s heart, who now considers her not just a best friend but one of her sisters.

Cristina Tobias, her older cousin whom she considers an older sister, has been one of her most steadfast supports throughout her life. Over the years, Cristina has offered not only her guidance but also a wealth of wisdom gleaned from her own experiences, serving as both a mentor and a confidante. Whether through long conversations about life’s challenges or moments of shared joy and laughter, Cristina’s unwavering belief in her has instilled a deep sense of self-worth and confidence. Her gentle yet firm encouragement helped her navigate difficult decisions, overcome setbacks, and embrace new opportunities. As a result, she has blossomed into the confident, resilient woman she is today—a transformation largely credited to the nurturing influence and endless support of her beloved cousin, Cristina.

Melanie Solis has been a cherished part of Ethel’s life since 8th grade. Their first encounter was in homeroom, where Ethel initially joked about Melanie’s “mean” look—a playful first impression that quickly faded. When they eventually sat together in Algebra, Ethel discovered the true Melanie: down-to-earth, remarkably smart, and incredibly kind. Over the years, Melanie has become one of Ethel’s greatest supports through life’s ups and and downs. Melanie has proven to be someone Ethel can always count on. Their friendship, built on mutual respect and endless laughter, has blossomed into a bond so strong that Ethel considers Melanie not just a best friend, but also like a sister as well.

Kathy Vang first met Ethel while working together at Ann Taylor. She fondly recalls how, after work, they would head straight to Trader Joe’s and encourage each other to buy healthy food. Ethel truly admires Kathy for being incredibly sweet, kind, and talented, as well as for her passion and dedication to her career. Kathy eventually moved to New York to pursue her career path, yet they have remained close friends for the past nine years

Sara Sharani first met Ethel at Ann Taylor while they were training to become Sales Leads. During their training, the assistant manager was demonstrating, and Ethel, being her usual goofy self, asked if the baby posted on the wall was him—an innocent remark that lightened the mood but also made the situation amusingly awkward. Ethel has always admired Sara for her strong work ethic and dependability, both professionally and as a supportive friend. Their bond has only grown over the past 10 years.

Sophie is Bernard’s older sister who has played a pivotal role in shaping him into the man he is today. Bernard deeply appreciates that Sophie has always been one of his strongest supporters. Likewise, Ethel treasures the opportunity to talk with Sophie over the years—finding that her wise advice and grounded perspective offer invaluable guidance. Whether they’re discussing haunted horror stories or brainstorming crafty new projects, Ethel enjoys their conversations that seem to cover every facet of life. In fact, Ethel eagerly looks forward to the day when she can call Sophie not only a trusted friend, but truly her own sister.

Billy and Bernard have been best friends since high school, and from the start, they have been inseparable. whether it was late nights filled with laughter, unforgettable trips, or just having each others backs through life's ups and downs, hes always been the definition of a true friend. Billy and Bernard are like brothers to each other.  He's the guy who keeps the party going, brings out the best in Bernard, and always knows how to lighten the mood. Bernard is honored to have him standing by his side on this big day!

Johnny isn’t just Bernard’s cousin—he’s been like a brother to him his entire life. Growing up side by side, they shared countless adventures, mischief, and unforgettable moments at family gatherings. Through every twist and turn—whether they were laughing until their sides hurt or supporting each other through life’s challenges—Johnny consistently became someone Bernard deeply admired and trusted. No matter what life threw their way, Johnny always had Bernard’s back, offering unwavering support, wise advice, and endless laughter. Having him stand by Bernard’s side on his wedding day meant more than words could express. Bernard couldn’t ask for a better cousin, friend, and brother; Johnny is truly irreplaceable in his heart.

Julio has always been more than just an older brother—he has been a guiding force in his brother’s life. Growing up, he took care of him, spending weekends together that helped shape the man he is today. Whether they were out fishing or having deep conversations about life, Julio was always there, offering wisdom and direction when it was needed most. He is the definition of a man—strong, honest, and respectful. There is no one more admirable, and it is an honor to have him standing as a groomsman on this special day.

Their friendship began in the most unexpected way—Eddie gave Bernard a haircut when they were just teenagers, and from that moment on, they became inseparable. Eddie isn’t just the best barber Bernard knows; he’s also an inspiring entrepreneur, owning multiple barbershops as well as a barber and beauty college. His dedication and ambition have always stood out. Over the years, they’ve shared endless laughter, supported one another through life’s ups and downs, and built a bond that feels more like family. Bernard couldn’t imagine this special day without Eddie by his side as one of his groomsmen.

Nard has been a mentor in the groom’s life and exemplifies what it means to be a man. Hardworking and one of the smartest people he knows, Nard is always there with wise advice when it’s needed. He has played a significant role in shaping the person the Bernard is today and has always been someone Bernard looks up to. With a natural ability to connect with people and build relationships, Nard leaves a lasting impact wherever he goes. Marwyn and the groom have known each other since Bernard was about 7 or 8 years old, building a bond that has only grown stronger over the years. More than just a friend, Marwyn is like a brother—someone who has been there through countless memories, from working at the same company to celebrating life together. He has always had Bernard’s back, offering support and guidance, and has played a significant role in shaping the man he is today. A loyal friend and a constant presence, Marwyn is a must-have as one of Bernard’s groomsmen.

Thomas Tobias, Ethel’s older brother and one of the amazing groomsmen, is known for being the go-to guy for life advice—wise beyond his years, thoughtful, and always willing to lend an ear. Whether someone is facing a big decision or simply needs a fresh perspective, Thomas always seems to know exactly what to say. His calm demeanor and genuine heart make him someone people naturally gravitate toward. He brings a sense of balance and warmth wherever he goes. His unwavering support and quiet strength have been a guiding light in Ethel’s life, and it’s an honor to have him standing by the couple on their special day.

Boba is the bride and groom’s beloved 3-year-old fur baby. He goes almost everywhere with them and is practically attached to their hip. Boba has a serious love for chicken jerky from Trader Joe’s and will happily perform all kinds of tricks to earn it at every meal. While he can be a little feisty around new people, once he warms up to you, he’s one of the most affectionate and cuddly dog you’ll ever meet.

Kenneth "Kenji" Sun Jr. is the beloved godson of the bride and groom. With three adorable fur siblings, it's no surprise he’s a big dog lover. When he’s not sleeping, eating, or reading, you’ll probably find him dancing! Just like his dad, he’s already impressively tall for a one year old. Bernard and Ethylene are so excited to have their godson be a special part of their wedding day!

Kenneth Sun Jr.

Caleb Courtade, Bernard’s 3-year-old godson, loves animals, swimming, and swinging at the park. He enjoys relaxing, cuddling, and watching movies. Some of his favorite shows and characters include Power Rangers, Mickey Mouse, Thomas the Train, Lightning McQueen, and Paw Patrol. Caleb also loves jumping and climbing on everything.

Caleb Courtade

Kataleya is one of the groomsmen’s 2.5 year old daughter. She is the youngest of three siblings. Though she’s tiny, she’s full of spirit—feisty and tough. She loves getting her nails painted and enjoys going to the park, dancing, and riding her tricycle. Kataleya has curly hair so their family nicknamed her “curly fries” ..The bride & groom can’t wait for her to be apart of this special day!
